Who owns the attraction?
If we want to be cheesy, the public own the museum but in reality, the museum is owned by Glasgow Life.
Should you visit?
Short answer yes, long answer definitely, There is so much to do and explore, after the museum, you could also visit the Tall Ship, a maritime museum that is located right next to the museum, you can't miss it!

The Science centre is another amazing attraction, also located close to the Riverside, the science centre boasts the Glasgow tower, the tallest freestanding building in Scotland, Impressive!
another attraction that is free and is enjoyable for children is the Bee garden they were given permission to place two Bee Cafe planters at the Riverside Museum in the summer of 2020. The Glenbee and the Waverbee planters now have signage after the Riverside held a naming competition.
Funding
The museum is funded by the city council and they also raise funds by hosting events and renting out the venue.
Ratings
The museum is a 5 star museum awarded by the Scottish tourism board and holds a gold green tourism award!
in my own opinion, it deserves the 5 star rating, the museum has plenty to do for everyone, I recommend visiting for about an hour or 2 so you get to experience the full museum and maybe get a wee bite to eat!
When is it open?
Monday-Thursday, Saturday: 10am-5pm
Friday and Sunday: 11am-5pm
Both the restaurant and the shop are also open
