The Riverside Museum | Main attractions and How to get there?
Main Attractions
Glasgow's Riverside Museum is a recognised transportation museum. There are more than 3,000 items on show, ranging from skateboards to trains, paintings to strollers, and automobiles to Stormtroopers.
The museum has also been accredited a 5 star visitor rating from VisitScotland.
The museum has lots to see for example: The South African locomotive. It was built by the North British Locomotive Company during 1945 and then was shipped to South Africa, the train then came back home to Scotland in 2006 and since then it has been sitting in the Riverside museum, educating the public on the history of the locomotive and Glasgow's history in helping create the modern world.
Another famous attraction (and my most favourite!) is the "Kelvin street".
The "Kelvin street" is a replica of a 1930s street in Glasgow, you can experience what life was like back in the days. The street is fitted with a recreation of a pre-1970s subway, a theatre that plays retro Scottish transport adverts and many more! I really recommend coming to the museum to see this attraction alone.

How to get there?
Train & Subway
The museum is quite a distance from the city centre, when I went to the museum, I went on the subway at St Enoch (which is approximately a 5 minute walk from Central Station, although if you are coming from Queen street you can get the subway at Buchanan Street subway, right at the station) and got off at Partick, the journey overall on the subway, lasts about 20 minutes, Partick subway station is also a train station so you can get there by train from Central Station and only takes approximately 7 minutes.

Getting there by Bus
These bus services( 2, 3, 8, 16, and 77)pick you up at Buchanan bus station and can drop you off at Partick Subway. Getting to the museum isn't as accessible as I know when I went, there was roadworks being done at the parking space nearest the Museum.
Starting at roughly 10.20am every day, the 100 service departs from George Square South, stop 609973, every 45 minutes. Glasgow-based Community Transport runs the service.
